Name: Pal Nik

Appearance: Mud brown skin, 3'8" tall, skinny body with long arms and fingers, pointy nose and black eyes (yellow 'whites'). Dressed head-to-toe in bandages like a mummy, exposing only his eyes and mouth with yellow teeth.

Personality: Greedy, selfish, powerhungry and bloodthirsty, merciless in battle. Prejudiced against all 'taller' creatures, Pal follows a twisted logic - if they seek to fight him he ignores them and escapes, if they seek his help he'll tag along till the right moment to backstab, if the others ignore him he'll set them up for a death trap while still avoiding a direct fight. He can make a desperate sacrifice in order to attack an enemy he hates, but he won't make the same sacrifice for the sake of saving an ally, short- or long-term.

Powers: Aura Sense, Aura Muting, Telepathy, Teleportation (within range of sight, chain teleport to travel over long distances), Supernatural Hearing, Supernatural Smell, and his specialty power...

PYROKINESIS, the ability to conjure and manipulate flames by force of mind, willpower, and focus. Falls under psychic abilities rather than elemental manipulation, so when reverse-engineered it can be used even more effectively if the target character has superior intellect. Pal is immune to his own flames but not those after reverse-engineering, or even the regular flames from natural sources or other flame manipulators. Among a few example attacks:

Flare Rod - A 5 feet long staff of pure flame Pal summons to fight in melee. The rod can switch between its material and psychic forms, to touch and fry internal organs rather than score surface blows. It has to stay material to block attacks, but Pal can grip it securely in either form. Dissolves when Pal no longer touches it.

Shadow Flare - An explosion of flames that originate from a point in space where sunlight doesn't reach, ie. where shadows fall, or in total darkness. The black flames do not illuminate the surrounding area, but on the contrary, they absorb light, consuming photons to continue spreading in a vast chain reaction, blast after blast after blast. Pal usually tricks his enemies by choosing the target's own shadow as the origin point of this attack, so even if they move it can't be avoided.

Energy Flare - A curse that inflicts burn damage on the target that uses energy attacks. The target's own energy backfires constantly, and the surfaces which emit it (hands, eyes, whole body for auras) become scorched and charred. The more energy the target emits, the worse the burn damage. The curse only works on anyone of Pal's choice within 30 feet of him, and if the target exits this range, it'll linger for 3 minutes then finally stop, weakening until it stops. As any psychic ability it can be blocked or resisted by intellectually superior targets.

Gravity Flare - Summons a fireball around one target in sight, with its own small gravity field, trapping it and then sending the projectile on a crash course to some second target, where it'll explode on impact. Since this attack's origin point is a person, not a point in space, it cannot be dodged when it forms - but it can be endured and even smothered out with enough power. The second target can dodge the fireball like normal. If the fireball is attacked or touches anything more dense than atmospheric air, it'll immediately explode, inflicting its damage to the trapped enemy plus any appropriate impact damage for the object/attack that hit it.

Mind Flare - A psychic pressure attack that messes with the target's metabolism, increasing body temperature and causing a headache, then double-vision, then finally a heat stroke after which the target falls unconscious. This has no range, attack speed, channel, or medium - Pal simply chooses a target within sight (invisible if he can detect it otherwise, thanks to noise or aura) and focuses his mind on inflicting excruciating pain. Weak targets like common humans instantly hit the heatstroke, stronger fighters can endure the heat and headache for a long period of time until they reach the limit of their energy. Can affect only up to 3 targets at once, so Pal actually frequently has to decide in which order he'll bring down his enemies. Nonsentient beings (like machines with no AI, or rocks and junk) are immune to this effect.

Age: 15 (so, teenager)
Appearance: Short black hair, blue eyes, average build. Wears a white T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes. On the back of his T-shirt there is printed a large silver dragon coiled up in a spiral, head in the center. On his hands, both palms, there are two crescent moon scars after cuts long since healed.

Personality: Ray is very excitable, talkative, and friendly. He loves superheroes and superhero powers, and is even more excited now that he finally has his own. His main goal is going on adventures and making lots of new friends, proving himself in battles against really dangerous enemies, and saving the world near the climatic ending. He's pretty naive still as most of his understanding of good and evil comes from comic books, but in the face of real pain and suffering he'll be maturing extra fast, together with his developing power.

Powers: Superstrength, Superspeed, Air Walk/Run, knows Karate and Judo, and most importantly...

CYCLONE DRAGON, the same as the one depicted on his back - Ray can summon him by clapping his hands. This dragon is still young and relatively tiny, but it can fuse with Ray, changing him to a taller and stronger human, his clothes and skin replaced by silver scales, blades growing from his arms. Blade Ray then proceeds to fight by turning into a spinning top, generating a whirlwind around himself. He can tackle, jump slam, drill through, and bounce off targets, among other forms of attack. The dragon, and Ray while fused, can also control wind as an elemental force to attack or defend, but they haven't practiced this ability much and usually only resort to it in case of emergencies, still with poor and clumsy results.

Those who weren't fooled by the name changes and correctly recognize Ray as a Beyblade concept turned into a character will perfectly understand how he should handle enemies in combat. A human-sized Beyblade rushing a warrior, mage, or dragon? That's right.

Appearance: Himomura has raven black hair in a ponytail. The ponytail is tied with a small shimenawa rope. He has red eyes and a confident, slightly arrogant grin on his face. He wears a skin-tight dark grey sleeveless shirt with a turtleneck collar. Also wrapped his neck is a shimenawa necklace with a Japanese-styled mirror hanging from it. Going from just below his elbow to his hands are skintight fingerless gloves as well. He wears black hakama pants without any lines or patterns, and the lower parts are held down underneath black armored shin-guards. He's also barefoot, and around his waist, in the middle of his shirt and the hakama, is a black and gold armored belt with a Japanese design. Also wrapped around Himomura's waist is a shimenawa rope, and floating behind them is a giant golden metal ring that some gods are depicted with.

Appearance: Tokugawa has short blonde hair and red eyes, and a rather beautiful face. His expression is usually kind or smiling, but it's as if something dark is lurking behind the smile. He wears a black yukata-like shirt with large white sleeves stitched onto the torso, and a white collar. He also wears white unlined hakama pants without any patterns either. He also wears black samurai-like boots that cover his shins and feet. He also wears a straw sedge shade hat, similar to a Japanese exorcist.
